Then There Were Three...To My First Child

You are my first. That will never change. The day you were born, was the day that our world changed forever. Then there were three. The beginning of our family started with you

Even though you are no longer my only baby, you will always be my first baby. That is something special that no one else in our family can ever say. I know you feel forgotten sometimes amidst the chaos of our hectic lives.

I understand that you feel I treat you differently than your two little sisters. It is hard to share the attention. But I need  you to know that you have something very special.

You have something that your sisters will never, ever have. You are the first.

  1. Stopping by to say hello from Traffic Jam . . . This brought a little tear to my eye, I have four amazing children, they are grown up now, but still my babies ❤️ Sometimes I look at my oldest and I just want to tell him thank you, thank you for being first and starting me on this journey, and I do tell him every now and again, his smile lets me know he knows he was my very first love . . .

  2. I love your post. I also have my boy, who was my firstborn and he has a special place in the hearts of all family members, it seems. It's not the amount of love but just something that cannot be explained with words it seems. He was the begginig of all the journeys - mine as a mom, my husband's as a father and my parents and in-laws as grandparents. And in that way he's so special. #EatSleepBlogRT

  3. THIS was a great post. Put a tissue required disclaimer next time. =) Also, I'm the first of 3 so I'm sending my mom this and am going to tell her thank you and then shove it in my 2 sisters face and say Ha. Kidding. Sorta. #BloggerClubUk

  4. Oh so beautiful! I have often thought about the "plight" of the firstborn and how they must feel when babies enter the family.

This is a lovely tribute to your son. Thank you for sharing it. #FabFridayPost

  5. There are so many special aspects to each of our children. The first, the last, anyone in-between. What a beautiful reminder to your son. Thanks for sharing at the #happynowlinkup!
